The GLASFLOSS GDS_20X20X2 is a disposable fiberglass panel air filter rated for commercial, industrial, and residential HVAC applications. Measuring 20 inches by 20 inches by 2 inches with 2.77 square feet of media area, it handles airflow up to 500 FPM with an initial resistance of 0.28 inches WC and a final resistance of 0.5 inches WC. The filter uses a thermally bonded, progressively dense fiberglass media housed in a heavy-duty one-piece craft-board frame. The reinforced double-strut frame construction delivers 10 percent greater open media area than traditional metal grill filters, improving dust holding capacity and airflow efficiency. Licensed HVAC technicians and building maintenance personnel are the typical installers.
The GDS_20X20X2 suits a wide range of installations including light commercial rooftop units, air handlers, and residential forced-air systems. Its one-piece craft-board frame eliminates sharp edges for safer handling during filter changes and simplifies disposal compared to metal-frame alternatives. The design is suited for environments that require regular scheduled filter maintenance under commercial or industrial service contracts, as well as residential replacement programs. The filter is rated to 180 degrees F, making it compatible with standard supply-air applications where elevated duct temperatures may be a factor.
Designed as a standard 20 x 20 x 2 inch disposable panel filter suitable for commercial, industrial, and residential HVAC air handler and furnace filter applications requiring a 2-inch depth filter slot.
Panel air filters are installed and replaced by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Always shut down the air handler or furnace at the equipment disconnect before opening the filter access panel. Confirm airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the direction of air travel through the system before securing the access panel. Dispose of used filters in accordance with local waste disposal requirements.
