The GLASFLOSS GDS_18X24X2 is a disposable fiberglass panel air filter designed for forced-air HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Measuring 18 inches wide by 24 inches tall by 2 inches deep, it delivers 3 square feet of media area with a rated airflow of 500 feet per minute (FPM). The progressively dense fiberglass media is thermally bonded and housed in a heavy-duty one-piece craft-board frame using reinforced double-strut construction. This frame design provides 10 percent greater open media area than traditional metal grill filters, supports excellent dust-holding capacity, and eliminates sharp edges for safer handling during changeouts.
This filter is suited for a wide range of HVAC applications including light commercial air handlers, rooftop units, and residential furnaces and air handlers where a 2-inch disposable panel filter is specified. Its robust frame holds up in commercial and industrial environments where airflow demands and debris loading are higher than typical residential use. HVAC technicians and facility maintenance personnel commonly stock this size for scheduled preventive maintenance programs. The UL 900, HARDI, and NAFA compliance makes it acceptable across many commercially specified filtration applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-specification panel filter for commercial, industrial, and residential forced-air HVAC systems requiring an 18 inches by 24 inches by 2 inches disposable panel filter.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Always power down the air handling unit or furnace before opening the filter compartment and removing the existing filter. Verify airflow direction arrows on the filter frame align with the system airflow direction before seating the filter. Dispose of the used filter in accordance with local waste disposal requirements and inspect the filter housing for bypasses or damaged gaskets during each changeout.
