The GLASFLOSS GDS_18X24X1 is a disposable fiberglass panel air filter designed for forced-air HVAC systems in commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Sized at 18 inches wide by 24 inches tall by 1 inch deep, it delivers 3 square feet of media area and is rated for airflow up to 300 feet per minute (FPM). The progressively dense fiberglass media is thermally bonded and housed in a heavy-duty one-piece craft-board frame with a reinforced double-strut construction. Initial resistance is 0.09 inches water column (WC) with a final resistance of 0.5 inches WC, supporting efficient air handling across a wide range of system types. Rated to 180 degrees F. Manufactured in the USA and Energy Star rated.
The GDS_18X24X1 is suited for use in commercial air handlers, industrial ventilation systems, and residential furnaces or air conditioning systems where a standard 18 by 24 by 1 inch panel filter is required. The one-piece craft-board box frame provides 10 percent greater open media area compared to traditional metal grill filters, improving dust holding capacity. The frameless-edge design eliminates sharp edges for safer handling during changeouts and simplifies disposal. HVAC technicians and maintenance personnel typically install this filter as part of routine preventive maintenance on fan coil units, air handlers, and residential furnace systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement panel filter for forced-air HVAC systems requiring an 18 by 24 by 1 inch disposable fiberglass panel filter in commercial, industrial, or residential applications.
Installation is typically performed by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel as part of a scheduled filter replacement program. Always power down the air handling unit or furnace before removing or installing the filter. Confirm airflow direction markings on the filter frame align with the system airflow direction before seating the filter in the rack. Inspect the filter housing and gasket surfaces for bypass gaps after installation to maintain rated filtration performance.
