The GLASFLOSS GDS_16X16X2 is a disposable fiberglass panel air filter designed for forced-air ventilation and air handling systems across commercial, industrial, and residential applications. Measuring 16 inches wide by 16 inches high by 2 inches deep, it delivers a media area of 1.78 square feet and handles airflow up to 500 feet per minute (FPM). The heavy-duty one-piece craft-board frame uses a reinforced double-strut construction that adds rigidity without the sharp edges found on metal-grid alternatives. Initial resistance is rated at 0.28 inches WC, with a final resistance of 0.5 inches WC, making it easy to schedule changeouts on a consistent pressure-drop schedule. Manufactured in the USA and rated to 180 degrees F.
This filter fits standard 16 by 16 by 2 inch filter slots found in commercial air handlers, industrial ventilation units, and residential forced-air furnaces and air conditioning systems. The progressively dense fiberglass media captures airborne particulate while maintaining low static pressure drop, which supports equipment efficiency. The open-frame design provides 10 percent greater open media area compared to traditional metal-grill filters, improving dust-holding capacity and extending service intervals in moderate-duty applications. The one-piece craft-board frame simplifies disposal and reduces handling risk.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 16 by 16 by 2 inch panel filter applications in commercial, industrial, and residential forced-air systems.
Installation is performed by HVAC technicians or qualified maintenance personnel. Always shut down the air handling unit or furnace before removing the used filter to prevent unfiltered air from bypassing the media during changeout. Confirm airflow direction arrow on the filter frame aligns with system airflow before seating the filter. Dispose of used filters in accordance with local waste regulations; the craft-board frame and fiberglass media are single-use only and should not be cleaned or re-used.
