The GIBRALTAR Z9484SET is a spherical washer assembly designed for use with 1-1/4 inch bolts. It consists of a matched male and female washer pair that self-aligns under load, compensating for angular misalignment between a bolt and its mating surface. The female washer has a 1-3/8 inch inside diameter and 2-1/2 inch outside diameter. The male washer has a 1-5/16 inch inside diameter and 2-1/2 inch outside diameter. Both pieces are 1/2 inch thick with a 3 inch radius spherical seat. Manufactured from 12L14 grade case hardened steel with a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance. Maintenance technicians, millwrights, and industrial mechanics install these in structural bolted connections where surfaces are not perfectly perpendicular.
