The GIBRALTAR SP20503 is a fixed lifting eye bolt with shoulder, rated for 4,000 lb capacity and designed for vertical overhead lifting applications in industrial and construction environments. The bolt features a 5/8-11 thread with a fully threaded 2.5-inch shank, giving riggers and ironworkers a secure, positive engagement with the load-bearing structure. Constructed from C-1035 grade steel with a hot dipped galvanized finish, this eye bolt resists corrosion in demanding job-site conditions. It is suited for use by millwrights, rigging crews, and maintenance technicians working with hoists, cranes, and block-and-tackle systems where a permanently oriented straight-pull lift point is required.
The SP20503 is intended for straight vertical lifting only, which is the standard application for fixed shoulder eye bolts. The shoulder design seats flush against the load surface when fully torqued, distributing stress at the base and preventing rotation under load. This bolt is appropriate for use in structural steel, heavy equipment frames, machinery bases, and similar applications where a permanent or semi-permanent lift point is needed. It is sold individually and packaged as a single unit.
Designed as an OEM-style fixed shoulder eye bolt for use with standard 5/8-11 threaded lift points on structural steel, machinery frames, and heavy equipment bases requiring a rated vertical lift anchor.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or millwright familiar with applicable ASME B30.26 rigging hardware standards. Always ensure the receiving threaded hole is clean and the shoulder seats fully and flush before applying load. Fixed eye bolts are rated for straight vertical pulls only — angular loading without a swivel or swivel hoist ring will significantly reduce rated capacity and can cause failure. Never use a damaged, bent, or visibly corroded eye bolt; remove it from service immediately.
