The GIBRALTAR PR25-G is a steel pull ring plunger designed for indexing, positioning, and holding applications in mechanical assemblies. The plunger uses a spring-loaded, non-locking design with a 1/4-20 thread and a pull ring head that allows manual retraction without tools. Initial end force is 0.5 pounds, rising to a final end force of 2 pounds, making it suitable for light-duty detent and locating tasks. The body length measures 0.44 inches with a plunger length of 0.62 inches and a plunger diameter of 0.16 inches. Installation and maintenance are handled by mechanical technicians and fabricators working on jigs, fixtures, panels, and enclosures.
This pull ring plunger is suited for use in industrial and commercial equipment where repeatable manual positioning is required. Typical applications include fixture plates, access panels, sliding mechanisms, and light assemblies where a threaded plunger can provide positive detent engagement and easy manual release. The 1/4-20 thread size makes it compatible with standard tapped holes found across a wide range of fabricated steel and aluminum components. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both OEM assembly and field repair.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 threaded pull ring spring plunger for use in mechanical fixtures, jigs, panels, and fabricated assemblies requiring light-duty non-locking detent or indexing functions.
Installation requires a properly tapped 1/4-20 hole in the mating component. Use a 1/4-inch hex wrench to thread the plunger body into the tapped hole to the desired depth. Ensure the assembly is de-energized and secured before servicing any mechanism that incorporates this plunger. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the thread or affect spring travel.
