The GIBRALTAR P18010FINGB is a male-threaded rod end with an eye hole head, manufactured from 1030 grade steel with a black oxide finish. The external 1/4-20 thread and 1/4-inch shank diameter make it a compact, durable linkage component suited for mechanical and structural assemblies. With a 3/4-inch thread length and 2-inch hole center-to-end measurement, this rod end provides precise motion control for pivot and hinge applications. The black oxide finish offers mild corrosion resistance in indoor and light-duty environments. Typically installed by maintenance technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors working on push-pull rod assemblies, control linkages, and adjustable mounting systems.
This rod end is appropriate for light- to medium-duty mechanical linkage applications including HVAC damper controls, equipment tie rods, and adjustable control arms. The 1/4-20 external thread mates with standard female-threaded rod ends, clevis mounts, or jam nuts to form a complete adjustable linkage assembly. It is suited for both residential and commercial mechanical systems where a compact, steel pivot point is required.
Designed as a standard 1/4-20 external male threaded rod end for use in mechanical linkage assemblies requiring a 1/4-inch shank diameter and 2-inch hole center-to-end dimension. Pairs with standard 1/4-20 female rod ends, clevis mounts, and jam nuts.
Installation is typically performed by millwrights, maintenance technicians, or mechanical contractors. Before servicing any linkage assembly, de-energize and lock out all connected mechanical or electrical actuators per applicable LOTO procedures. Thread the rod end onto the mating rod or clevis until the specified engagement depth is achieved, then secure with a jam nut to prevent loosening under vibration. Inspect the pivot pin or bolt for proper sizing through the eye hole before placing the assembly into service.
