The GIBRALTAR P14641LTGB is a fixed lifting eye bolt with a shoulder, designed for overhead lifting and rigging applications in industrial and construction environments. Built from grade 8620 alloy steel, this eye bolt carries a rated lifting capacity of 2,700 pounds and features a fully threaded 1/2-inch shank measuring 1.5 inches in length. The shoulder design provides a positive bearing surface against the load, ensuring proper load transfer and reducing the risk of eye rotation under tension. Licensed riggers, ironworkers, and maintenance mechanics install this hardware where a secure, fixed-angle lift point is required on structural members, machinery, or fabricated assemblies.
This eye bolt is suited for straight vertical lifts in both fixed industrial machinery installations and general rigging setups where a permanent or semi-permanent lift point is needed. The fully threaded shank allows engagement through the full 1.5-inch thread length, accommodating standard structural steel, plate, or fabricated weldment connections. The shoulder seats flush against the mating surface to distribute load evenly. Applications include equipment maintenance hoisting, material handling jigs, and anchor point installations in commercial and industrial facilities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard rigging hardware component for use with 1/2-inch threaded connections in industrial lifting and rigging applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or millwright familiar with applicable ASME B30 rigging standards and OSHA overhead lifting requirements. Ensure the mating threaded hole is clean, properly tapped to 1/2-inch specification, and that the shoulder seats fully and flush before applying any load. Never use a fixed eye bolt for angular lifts outside its rated straight vertical load angle. Inspect the eye bolt for cracks, deformation, or thread damage before each use and remove from service if any defects are found.
