The GIBRALTAR P14014MGB is a fixed lifting eye bolt with shoulder, designed for overhead lifting and rigging applications in industrial and commercial environments. Rated at 3,525 pounds (1,600 kg) lifting capacity, this eye bolt features a fully threaded M14 x 2.00 metric shank manufactured from Grade 1030 steel. The shoulder design provides a load-bearing surface that seats flush against the workpiece, ensuring proper load transfer and reducing the risk of thread fatigue under tension. Millwrights, maintenance technicians, and rigging crews install this type of hardware when attaching lifting points to machinery, structural assemblies, and heavy equipment.
This eye bolt is suited for fixed, in-line vertical lifting where the load is applied directly along the bolt axis. The metric thread specification makes it appropriate for machinery and equipment using M14 threaded inserts or tapped holes. The fully threaded shank with a 27 mm thread length and 28 mm shank length provides sufficient engagement depth in standard metric threaded connections. It is commonly used in manufacturing facilities, fabrication shops, and mechanical equipment rooms where repeatable, secure lifting points are required.
Designed for use with M14 x 2.00 metric threaded holes or inserts. Intended for fixed, vertical in-line lifting only; not rated for angular or side loading without a swivel-style eye bolt.
Installation should be performed by qualified rigging or maintenance personnel familiar with applicable lifting hardware standards such as ASME B30.26. Thread the bolt fully into the tapped hole until the shoulder seats firmly and flush against the mating surface before applying any load. Never apply load to the eye bolt at an angle beyond the manufacturer-rated in-line axis unless using a swivel-rated product. Inspect threads and the eye ring for deformation, cracks, or corrosion before each use and remove from service if any defects are found.
