The GIBRALTAR MT7741-G is a straight ejector pin used in injection mold tooling to push finished parts out of the mold cavity at the end of each cycle. Machined from steel with a nitride finish for surface hardness and wear resistance, this pin measures 0.63 inches (16 mm) in diameter with an overall length of 9.84 inches (250 mm). The head diameter is 0.87 inches (22 mm) with a head height of 0.28 inches (7 mm), and the pin body runs 9.57 inches (243 mm). Mold makers, toolmakers, and die shop technicians rely on ejector pins like this for high-cycle mold maintenance and new tooling builds.
This ejector pin is suited for use in plastic injection molds, die casting tooling, and stamping die assemblies where consistent, repeatable part ejection is required. It fits standard ejector plate assemblies and is appropriate for both production mold maintenance and prototype tooling. The nitride surface treatment improves galling resistance, making it a practical choice for molds running abrasive or glass-filled resins.
Designed as a standard straight ejector pin for use in injection mold bases and die assemblies requiring a 16 mm pin diameter and 250 mm overall length.
Ejector pins are installed and serviced by toolmakers and mold technicians. Before replacing or installing ejector pins, the mold must be fully cooled, de-pressurized, and removed from the press or secured against unintended closure. Check pin bore diameter and ejector plate pocket dimensions for proper fit before installation. Follow applicable shop safety procedures when handling tooling components under spring or hydraulic preload.
