The GIBRALTAR MT7718-G is a straight ejector pin used in injection mold tooling to push finished parts out of a mold cavity at the end of each cycle. Machined from steel with a nitride finish, this pin measures 10 mm in diameter and 250 mm in overall length, with a 245 mm pin length and a 16 mm head diameter. The nitride surface treatment improves hardness and wear resistance at the pin face and along the shaft, extending service life under repetitive ejection cycles. Mold makers, toolroom machinists, and mold maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This ejector pin is suited for use in plastic injection molds in both production tooling and prototype tooling environments. It is sized for applications requiring a 10 mm bore in the ejector plate and retainer plate assembly. The 5 mm head height allows proper seating against the ejector retainer plate. Typical applications include residential and commercial mold shops running thermoplastic parts where consistent, repeatable ejection is required.
