The GIBRALTAR MT7671-G is a straight ejector pin designed for use in injection molds and die casting tooling. It performs the mechanical function of pushing finished parts out of a mold cavity at the end of each cycle. Machined from steel with a nitride finish for surface hardness and wear resistance, this pin measures 3.5 mm in diameter with an overall length of 200 mm and a pin length of 197 mm. The head measures 7 mm in diameter and 3 mm in height. Tool and die makers, mold technicians, and maintenance machinists are the primary installers.
This ejector pin is suited for precision mold assemblies in both production and prototype tooling environments. It fits standard ejector plate setups where a 3.5 mm bore and appropriate head pocket are present. The nitride surface treatment improves cycle life by reducing galling and friction against the mold steel. Typical applications include plastic injection molds, die casting dies, and rubber compression molds requiring repeatable, smooth ejection.
Designed as a direct-replacement straight ejector pin for mold assemblies requiring a 3.5 mm pin diameter and 200 mm overall length with a standard flanged head profile.
Installation is performed by tool and die makers or mold maintenance technicians. Always remove the mold from service and relieve any hydraulic or pneumatic pressure before accessing the ejector assembly. Verify bore diameter, head pocket depth, and overall length against the existing mold design before pressing the pin into the ejector plate. Do not force-fit pins into undersized bores, as this can cause bore damage or pin fracture during cycling.
