The GIBRALTAR MSW10-10FSL-PTG is a threaded spring plunger designed for precision indexing, positioning, and light-duty locking applications in mechanical assemblies. The plunger features an M16 x 2 thread with a 28.5 mm thread length, a short plunger configuration with a maximum plunger diameter of 7.87 mm, and a projection of 8 mm. Both the body and nose are constructed from steel for durability in industrial service environments. A built-in locking element prevents the plunger from backing out under vibration once installed, making it well suited for machine tool, fixture, and jig applications.
This spring plunger is used wherever a retractable, spring-loaded ball or pin is needed to hold a component in a detent position or provide repeatable part location. The M16 x 2 thread size fits standard metric threaded holes in steel plates, aluminum fixture bodies, and similar industrial components. It is appropriate for light to moderate force indexing tasks.
