The GIBRALTAR MEP1145-G is a straight ejector pin used in injection mold tooling to push finished parts out of a mold cavity at the end of each cycle. Machined from steel with a nitride finish for surface hardness and wear resistance, this pin measures 0.984 inches (25 mm) in diameter with an overall length of 31.496 inches (800 mm) and a usable pin length of 31.102 inches (790 mm). The head measures 1.260 inches (32 mm) in diameter and 0.394 inches (10 mm) in height. It is installed and serviced by moldmakers, toolroom machinists, and injection mold technicians working in plastics manufacturing and precision tooling environments.
Straight ejector pins are a standard component in injection mold ejector systems, used wherever a clean, direct ejection stroke is required. This pin is suited for medium-to-large mold bases where a 25 mm diameter ejector element is specified. The nitride surface treatment extends service life in high-cycle production molds by resisting galling and wear at the pin-bushing interface. Toolroom personnel select this pin when replacing worn or broken ejectors during scheduled mold maintenance or emergency repair.
Designed as a standard straight ejector pin replacement for injection mold tooling requiring a 25 mm diameter pin in steel with nitride finish. Consult mold design drawings to confirm head and pin dimensions before installation.
Ejector pins are installed and replaced by qualified moldmakers or toolroom machinists with the mold fully removed from the press and all hydraulic or mechanical energy sources locked out and tagged out per applicable safety procedures. Verify ejector plate counterbore dimensions match the head diameter and head height before pressing the pin into position. Inspect the mating ejector pin bushing for wear prior to installing a new pin to avoid premature failure. Follow the mold design specification for ejector pin fit and surface finish requirements.
