The GIBRALTAR MEP1114-G is a straight ejector pin designed for use in injection mold tooling and die applications. Machined from steel with a nitride finish, this pin provides the hardness and wear resistance required in high-cycle mold environments. The pin measures 16 mm in diameter with an overall length of 100 mm, a usable pin length of 93 mm, a 22 mm head diameter, and a 7 mm head height. It is installed by moldmakers, toolroom technicians, and mold maintenance professionals to eject finished parts from the mold cavity at the end of each cycle.
This ejector pin is suited for use in plastic injection molds, die casting tooling, and similar precision mold assemblies where consistent ejection force and dimensional accuracy are required. Its straight-pin geometry makes it appropriate for standard ejector plate configurations in both production and prototype tooling. The nitride surface treatment helps resist galling and extends service life in repetitive cycling conditions.
Designed as a standard straight ejector pin replacement for injection mold and die tooling applications requiring a 16 mm pin diameter and 100 mm overall length.
Ejector pins are installed and serviced by moldmakers or toolroom technicians during mold assembly or scheduled maintenance. Before replacing ejector pins, ensure the mold is fully cooled, de-pressurized, and locked out according to facility safety procedures. Pins should be seated fully in the ejector plate and verified for free axial movement before the mold is returned to press. Do not modify pin length by cutting unless the pin is re-finished to maintain surface hardness at the working end.
