The GIBRALTAR MEP1080-G is a straight ejector pin designed for use in injection mold tooling and die assemblies. It drives molded parts out of cavities during the ejection phase of the molding cycle. The pin measures 10.2 mm in diameter with an overall length of 400 mm and a usable pin length of 395 mm. The head is 16 mm in diameter and 5 mm tall, providing a positive stop against the ejector plate. Manufactured from steel with a nitride finish, the MEP1080-G offers surface hardness and corrosion resistance suited to high-cycle mold environments. Toolmakers and mold technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This ejector pin is used in plastic injection molds, die casting tooling, and similar precision tooling applications across both production and prototype environments. It is appropriate for installations where a standard straight ejector pin geometry is specified. The nitride finish helps reduce galling and wear during repeated ejection cycles, making it suitable for medium- to high-volume production molds. Individual quantity packaging allows for single-pin replacement without purchasing larger lots.

Installation is performed by a qualified toolmaker or mold technician. Before replacing ejector pins, ensure the press is fully locked out and the mold is safely supported. Verify head seating against the ejector plate before returning the mold to service.
