The GIBRALTAR MEP1063-G is a straight ejector pin used in injection mold tooling to push finished parts out of a mold cavity at the end of each cycle. Machined from steel with a nitride finish for surface hardness and wear resistance, this pin measures 8.20 mm in diameter with an overall length of 160 mm and a pin length of 155 mm. The head measures 14 mm in diameter and 5 mm in height, seating securely in the ejector plate. Mold builders, toolmakers, and mold maintenance technicians install and replace ejector pins during mold builds and scheduled maintenance.
This ejector pin is suited for use in plastic injection molds in both production and prototype tooling environments. It is a direct-fit replacement for worn, bent, or broken straight ejector pins of matching diameter and length specifications. The nitride finish improves surface hardness and reduces galling against the mold insert bore. Typical applications include high-cycle production molds where pin wear is a routine maintenance concern.
Designed as a standard straight ejector pin replacement for injection mold tooling requiring an 8.20 mm pin diameter and 160 mm overall length with a nitrided steel finish.
Ejector pin replacement is performed by toolmakers or mold maintenance technicians with the mold out of the press and fully de-energized. The ejector plate must be disassembled to access and swap pins. Verify bore diameter and pin length against the existing mold drawings before installation. Inspect the mold bore for wear or damage that could cause premature pin failure.
