The GIBRALTAR MEP1060-G is a straight ejector pin designed for use in injection molds and die casting tooling. It drives finished parts out of mold cavities at the end of each cycle, making it a critical wear component in production tooling. The pin measures 7 mm in diameter with a 395 mm pin length and a 400 mm overall length. It is machined from steel with a nitride finish for improved surface hardness and wear resistance. Toolmakers and mold maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this component in production environments.
This ejector pin is suited for injection mold tooling in both prototype and production settings. The 12 mm head diameter seats against the ejector plate, while the 5 mm head height provides positive retention within the ejector retainer plate. It is commonly used in plastic injection molds, die casting dies, and similar tooling where a standard straight pin configuration is required. The nitride finish helps resist galling and extends service life in high-cycle applications.

Ejector pins are installed and replaced by toolmakers or mold technicians. Always fully de-energize and lock out the molding or casting machine before accessing the mold or die. Ensure the ejector pin slides freely through the guide bushing and retainer plate without binding before returning the mold to service. Do not force or modify the pin, as doing so can cause premature failure or damage to the mold base.
