The GIBRALTAR LEP2152-G is a straight ejector pin designed for use in injection mold tooling applications. Machined from steel with a nitride finish, this pin provides the hardness and wear resistance required for high-cycle mold environments. It measures 7/8 inch in pin diameter with an overall length of 10 inches and a usable pin length of 9-3/4 inches. The head diameter is 1-1/8 inches and the head height is 1/4 inch. The nitride surface treatment improves surface hardness and corrosion resistance, extending service life in demanding production tooling. This component is typically installed by tool and die technicians or mold maintenance professionals.
Straight ejector pins are used in plastic injection molds to push formed parts out of the mold cavity after each shot cycle. This pin is suited for standard ejector plate configurations in both prototype and production molds. It is appropriate for use in press shops, mold shops, and manufacturing facilities running thermoplastic or thermoset injection processes. The 7/8 inch diameter and 10 inch overall length make it compatible with medium to larger mold bases where ejector travel and pin retention dimensions fall within this size range.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for standard straight ejector pin applications in injection mold tooling where a 7/8 inch pin diameter and 10 inch overall length are specified.
Ejector pin installation and replacement should be performed by qualified tool and die technicians or mold maintenance personnel. Ensure the mold is fully depressurized, cooled, and removed from the press before servicing ejector components. Verify pin bore diameter, ejector plate counterbore dimensions, and ejector travel clearance before installation. Do not force pins into undersized bores, as this can cause pin galling, bore damage, or mold damage during operation.
