The GIBRALTAR IPG-114-G is a non-locking indexing plunger with a knob handle, designed for positioning and locking applications in industrial machinery, fixtures, and assemblies. The plunger features an M12x1.5 thread with a 17mm thread length and a 6mm diameter plunger pin, following Style A plunger geometry. Built from steel for durability in production environments, it delivers an initial end force of 6 newtons and a final end force of 14 newtons. With a 56mm overall length and a 20mm body, this plunger fits into standard metric threaded installations. Machinists, maintenance techs, and fixture builders install this type of hardware in positioning jigs and adjustable machine components.
The IPG-114-G suits residential and light industrial applications where repeatable, tool-free positioning is needed. It is commonly installed in drill press tables, indexing fixtures, machine guards, and adjustable equipment frames where the operator needs to lock or release a position by hand without tooling. The knob handle allows quick adjustment and re-engagement in confined or repetitive-access locations. Its standard M12x1.5 metric thread makes it compatible with a wide range of machined plates and weldments built to metric specifications.
Designed as an OEM-style metric indexing plunger for use in assemblies, jigs, fixtures, and adjustable machine components with M12x1.5 threaded mounting holes.
Installation is performed by threading the plunger body into a pre-tapped M12x1.5 hole to the desired depth and securing with the integrated nut using a wrench on the 14mm nut flats. Ensure the mating receiver hole is properly sized for the 6mm plunger pin before final assembly. De-energize or lock out any associated machinery before installing or adjusting indexing hardware per applicable lockout/tagout procedures. Do not exceed the rated end forces by preloading the plunger beyond its design limits.
