The GIBRALTAR IPG-106-G is a lockout knob handle indexing plunger designed for positioning, alignment, and locking applications in industrial machinery and mechanical assemblies. Built to Plunger Style C, it features a 5/8-11 unified coarse thread, a 23 mm (0.906 inches) thread length, and an 8 mm (0.315 inches) plunger diameter with a matching 8 mm plunger projection. The steel construction delivers durability in demanding shop and production environments. Overall length is 74 mm (2.913 inches). The lockout feature holds the plunger in the retracted position, allowing hands-free repositioning of components. Licensed machine builders and maintenance mechanics install this type of hardware.
This indexing plunger suits industrial equipment where repeatable, tool-free positioning is required. Typical applications include jigs, fixtures, machine guards, work-holding devices, and adjustable stops on production equipment. The lockout knob design is well suited for applications where the plunger must remain disengaged during part loading or changeover. No lock nut is included. The 33 mm knob diameter provides adequate grip for manual operation without tools, and the 19 mm nut flat dimension accommodates a standard wrench for installation torque.
Designed as an OEM-style or aftermarket indexing plunger for industrial machinery, jigs, fixtures, and mechanical assemblies requiring a 5/8-11 threaded lockout plunger with Style C body geometry.
Installation is performed by machine builders or maintenance mechanics. De-energize and lock out all relevant machinery before servicing or replacing positioning hardware per applicable LOTO procedures. Thread the plunger body into a tapped hole to the specified thread engagement depth and tighten using a wrench across the 19 mm nut flats. Do not over-torque the plunger body into the mounting hole, as this may distort the thread or affect plunger travel.
