The GIBRALTAR IPG-105ss-G is a lockout knob handle indexing plunger designed for precise, repeatable positioning in industrial fixtures, jigs, tooling plates, and mechanical assemblies. Built to Style D geometry, it features an M10x1 threaded body with a 15mm thread length and a 5mm plunger diameter. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion in washdown and light chemical environments. An integrated lock nut secures the plunger at a set depth after installation. With an overall length of 43.5mm and a body length of 17mm, this plunger delivers a 5N initial end force and a 12N final end force, making it suitable for light-duty indexing and detent applications. Installed by maintenance technicians and machine builders.
This indexing plunger is used in production fixtures, machine tool tables, rotary indexing assemblies, and panel-mount locating applications where a positive locking position is required. The lockout feature allows the plunger pin to be retracted and held in the disengaged position, preventing unintended re-engagement during loading or part changeover. The knob handle provides tool-free operation. Suited for both OEM assembly and aftermarket fixture repair in light manufacturing environments.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or OEM-style indexing plunger for fixtures and assemblies using M10x1 threaded indexing plunger bores with Style D body geometry.
Installation is performed by maintenance technicians or machine builders using standard hand tools. Ensure the receiving bore is clean and the M10x1 thread is free of debris before threading in the plunger body. Use the integrated lock nut to secure the plunger at the desired projection depth and torque only to snug per the assembly drawing. Power down or de-energize any associated automated equipment before servicing fixtures that contain indexing plungers.
