The GIBRALTAR IPG-104-G is a Style C lockout knob handle indexing plunger designed for precise positioning and locking in industrial fixtures, jigs, tooling assemblies, and machine components. Built from steel with a black finish, this plunger features an M16x1.5 threaded body with a 23mm thread length and an 8mm diameter plunger projection. The lockout-style knob prevents unintended retraction, holding position until intentionally released. An initial end force of 15 N and a final end force of 35 N provide reliable spring-loaded engagement suited to medium-duty indexing applications. Licensed trades and industrial maintenance technicians install this hardware into positioning systems where repeatable, secure registration is required.
This indexing plunger is used in manufacturing fixtures, assembly tooling, machine guarding, and mechanical positioning applications where a repeatable stop or index point is needed. The M16x1.5 thread size fits standard metric threaded receiver holes commonly found in fabricated steel frames, machine bases, and modular fixturing systems. The lockout knob style is particularly suited to applications where accidental plunger retraction under vibration or load would cause misalignment or unsafe conditions.
Designed for use in standard metric M16x1.5 threaded receiver holes in industrial fixturing, positioning equipment, and machine assemblies requiring a lockout-style indexing plunger.
Installation is performed by threading the plunger body into a pre-tapped M16x1.5 receiver hole by hand or with a wrench applied to the 19mm nut flats. Ensure the receiver hole depth and thread engagement accommodate the 23mm thread length before final installation. Power down or de-energize any associated machine or fixture before installing or adjusting plungers in active equipment. Do not over-torque the plunger body into the receiver, as this can damage the threads or affect spring function.
