The GIBRALTAR HEP3526-G is a shoulder ejector pin designed for use in injection molds, die casting tooling, and progressive die sets. The pin features a 5/64-inch pin diameter and a 10-inch overall length, with a 1/4-inch head diameter and a 1/8-inch head height. The shoulder measures 1/8 inch in diameter and 1/2 inch in length, with a net pin length of 9.5 inches. Constructed from steel with a nitride finish, this pin is built to resist wear and withstand the high-cycle demands of production tooling environments. Tool and die makers and mold technicians are the primary installers.
Shoulder ejector pins are used in plastic injection molds and metal die casting dies where a stepped shoulder is required to control pin positioning and prevent rotation or misalignment during the ejection stroke. The shoulder engages the ejector plate or retainer plate to set the working length precisely. This pin is suited for both prototype and production tooling applications requiring repeatable, controlled ejection force at tight tolerances.

Installation is performed by tool and die makers or mold technicians during mold assembly or maintenance. The mold or die must be fully de-energized, depressurized, and cooled before ejector pin service. Pins should be seated fully through the ejector retainer plate and ejector plate, with the shoulder flush against the retainer plate face. Verify pin fit and free movement through the pin bushing or guide bore before closing the mold.
