The GIBRALTAR HEP3503-G is a shoulder ejector pin designed for use in injection molds, die casting tooling, and precision mold assemblies. The pin features a 1/32 inch pin diameter, a 1/4 inch head diameter, and a 6 inch overall length, with a 2 inch pin length and a 4 inch shoulder length. Constructed from steel with a nitride finish, it provides surface hardness and wear resistance suited to high-cycle mold environments. Mold makers and tooling technicians install this pin as a component in ejector plate systems to push finished parts from mold cavities during the ejection stroke.
This ejector pin is suited for precision mold tooling applications in both prototype and production settings. Installation is performed by mold makers or toolroom technicians during mold build or maintenance. The ejector plate and retainer plate must be fully disassembled and the mold press must be locked out and de-energized before ejector pin service. Pins should be checked for proper fit, alignment, and clearance in the ejector plate bore before reassembly. Do not force or hammer pins into undersized bores, as this can damage the pin, the bore, or the surrounding mold steel.
