Gibraltar GIB53626 Round U-bolt 3/4 Inch Pipe Hot Galvanized

Product Description

The GIBRALTAR GIB53626 is a round U-bolt with a mount plate designed to secure 3/4-inch pipe to structural surfaces. Manufactured from C-1010 steel with a hot galvanized finish, this fastener resists corrosion in exposed or damp environments. The 1/4-20 UNC thread pattern and 1-1/4-inch thread length provide a reliable clamping interface. Two nuts are included for immediate installation without additional hardware sourcing. At 0.1 pounds, it is a compact, purpose-built pipe support fastener suitable for plumbing, HVAC, and general mechanical piping work where a low-profile, plate-mounted clamp is required.

This U-bolt is sized for 3/4-inch pipe and is commonly used in residential and light commercial installations where pipe runs must be anchored to framing, unistrut, or flat mounting surfaces. The integrated mount plate distributes load across the mounting surface, making it a practical choice for overhead or wall-mounted pipe support applications. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters typically use this style of fastener when securing copper, steel, or compatible plastic pipe in conditioned or semi-exposed spaces.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or HVAC technicians following applicable IPC or IMC pipe support spacing requirements. Shut off the relevant piping system and relieve pressure before adjusting or repositioning existing pipe supports. Use appropriately rated hardware anchors when mounting to concrete, masonry, or engineered lumber. Do not overtighten the nuts, as excessive torque on galvanized fasteners can damage the coating and reduce corrosion resistance at the thread interface.
