The GIBRALTAR G10-0030-C is a phenolic ball knob with a female insert mount designed for use in light mechanical assemblies, control panels, and equipment requiring a secure, hand-operable fastening point. The knob measures 1 inch in diameter and 15/16 inch in height, with a smooth grip surface and a black finish. The female insert accepts a threaded stem with a 10-32 thread size and provides 3/8 inch of hole depth. Phenolic construction offers good resistance to heat and chemical exposure in light-duty industrial and trade applications.
This ball knob is suited for use in HVAC equipment panels, electrical enclosures, and general-purpose mechanical assemblies where a compact, threaded adjustment or fastening knob is needed. The 1/2-inch hub diameter and smooth grip make it appropriate for finger-tightened applications where tools are not required. It is commonly installed by HVAC technicians, electricians, and mechanical maintenance personnel during panel assembly, equipment servicing, or control hardware replacement.
Designed as a standard female insert ball knob for use with 10-32 threaded stems in light mechanical assemblies, control panels, and equipment enclosures requiring hand-adjustable fastening hardware.
Installation does not require specialized tools — thread the knob onto a compatible 10-32 stem and hand-tighten to the appropriate position. Ensure the mating threaded stem does not exceed the 3/8 inch hole depth to avoid bottoming out. Power down or de-energize any equipment before replacing or repositioning knobs on live control panels. Follow applicable equipment manufacturer guidelines for panel hardware replacement.
