The GIBRALTAR EY6485-G is a nitride coated die steel ejector sleeve designed for use in die mold and injection mold tooling applications. It features a 7/16 inch inside diameter and a 5/8 inch outside diameter, with an overall length of 11 inches. The 7/8 inch head diameter and 1/4 inch head height provide a secure seating surface within the mold plate. A 45-degree chamfer angle with a 3/64 inch chamfer length and a 1/32 inch corner radius are machined into the sleeve to ensure smooth part ejection and reduce edge stress during cycling. The nitride coating extends surface hardness and wear resistance, making this sleeve suitable for high-cycle production environments.

This ejector sleeve is used in plastic injection molds, die casting tooling, and compression mold assemblies where tubular or cored part ejection is required. It is installed within the ejector retainer plate and works in conjunction with a corresponding ejector pin to push molded parts cleanly from the cavity.
