The GIBRALTAR EY6475-G is a nitride coated die steel ejector sleeve designed for use in die mold tooling applications. It features a 0.375 inch inside diameter and a 0.5 inch outside diameter, with an overall length of 10 inches. The sleeve incorporates a 0.75 inch head diameter and a 0.25 inch head height, along with a 45-degree chamfer angle and a 3/64 inch chamfer length. A 1/32 inch corner radius completes the geometry. This component is installed by toolmakers and mold technicians during die set assembly or ejector system maintenance. The nitride coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance for demanding mold cycling conditions.
The EY6475-G ejector sleeve is suited for plastic injection mold tooling and die casting ejector systems where a tubular ejector is required to eject parts formed around a core pin. The 0.375 inch bore allows it to ride over a mating core pin while the sleeve travels axially through the mold plate. This sleeve is appropriate for both new mold builds and replacement of worn or damaged ejector sleeves in production tooling. Toolmakers specify this sleeve when standard round ejector pins cannot clear a core feature and a concentric ejector path is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for die mold ejector systems requiring a tubular sleeve with a 0.375 inch bore and 0.5 inch outer diameter in standard ejector plate configurations.
Installation is performed by qualified toolmakers or mold technicians. The mold press must be locked out and all hydraulic or pneumatic ejector circuits de-energized before removing or installing ejector components. Verify bore and outer diameter clearances against the core pin and mold plate pocket before assembly to ensure proper sliding fit without binding. Consult the mold design drawings for correct ejector plate seating depth and retainer clearance.
