The GIBRALTAR EY6430-G is a nitride coated die steel ejector sleeve designed for use in die mold tooling applications. The sleeve features a 0.156 inch (5/32 inch) inside diameter and a 0.25 inch (1/4 inch) outside diameter, with an overall length of 6 inches and a 75mm pin length. A 45-degree chamfer angle on the bore end aids alignment during assembly. Manufactured from die steel with a nitride surface treatment, this ejector sleeve delivers wear resistance and dimensional stability under the high-cycle thermal and mechanical loads typical of injection mold and die cast tooling. Installation is performed by toolmakers and mold technicians.
This ejector sleeve is intended for die mold and injection mold tooling setups where precise part ejection is required. It fits into standard ejector plate assemblies alongside ejector pins and return pins. The 0.156 inch bore accommodates a corresponding ejector pin, and the nitride coating reduces galling and extends service life in abrasive or high-temperature mold environments. Typical applications include plastic injection molds, die cast dies, and similar precision tooling where sleeve-guided ejection is specified by the mold designer.

Installation is performed by qualified toolmakers or mold technicians with the mold fully depressurized, cooled, and removed from the press. The ejector plate assembly should be fully disassembled before sleeve replacement to avoid damage to adjacent pins or guide bushings. Verify bore clearance and pin-to-sleeve fit before pressing the sleeve into the ejector plate. Follow shop tooling standards and mold manufacturer specifications for fit tolerances and surface finish requirements.
