The GIBRALTAR DKL25-PT-G is a locking knob handle plunger designed for indexing, positioning, and holding applications in industrial and mechanical assemblies. The plunger features a 1/4-20 threaded body and a Delrin knob that locks the plunger in the retracted position, preventing unintended extension during operation. The steel construction with a black finish provides durability in demanding environments. Initial end force is 0.12 pounds, with a final end force of 0.36 pounds, making it suitable for light-duty retention and locating tasks. Installation is straightforward for machinists, maintenance technicians, and equipment assemblers.
This locking plunger is used in machine tool fixtures, jigs, enclosures, and mechanical assemblies where a repeatable detent or stop position is required. The compact body length of 0.63 inches and 1/4-20 thread size make it compatible with standard tapped holes in panel-mounted or inline applications. The Delrin knob style allows hand-tightening without additional tooling in most service scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or drop-in addition for mechanical assemblies, fixtures, and enclosures using standard 1/4-20 threaded plunger locations.
Installation is performed by threading the DKL25-PT-G into a prepared 1/4-20 tapped hole by hand or with a 1/4-inch hex key. Ensure the assembly is depowered or de-energized before servicing any fixture or panel that houses the plunger. Do not overtighten the body into the tapped hole, as this may restrict plunger travel or damage the thread engagement. Verify plunger projection and locking function before returning the assembly to service.
