The GIBRALTAR DCIM25-38 is a medium-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and industrial tooling applications. Manufactured from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, this spring delivers consistent force and durability under cyclic compression loads. It features a 1 inch hole diameter, a 1/2 inch rod diameter, and a 1-1/2 inch free length. Maximum deflection load is 361 pounds, with a maximum deflection of 0.61 inches and a spring rate of 595 pounds per inch. The blue color coding indicates medium-duty classification per ISO and NAAMS standards. Tool and die makers, mold builders, and industrial maintenance technicians are the typical installers.
This die spring is suited for use in punch press dies, injection molds, and automated tooling fixtures where controlled, repeatable spring return force is required. The medium-duty rating makes it appropriate for moderate-load applications in both production and maintenance tooling environments. Its compact free length of 1-1/2 inches fits standard die set pockets where space is limited. The trapezoidal wire profile increases load capacity relative to round wire springs of the same outer diameter, making this spring a reliable choice for high-cycle tooling installations.
Designed as a standard replacement or new-install die spring for medium-duty tooling applications conforming to NAAMS and ISO 10243 dimensional standards, with a 1 inch hole diameter and 1/2 inch rod diameter fitment.
Die springs are installed and replaced by tool and die makers or industrial maintenance technicians. Before servicing any tooling assembly, de-energize the press or machine and follow lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the spring pocket diameter and rod diameter match the spring specifications before installation. Never compress a die spring beyond its rated maximum deflection, as over-compression causes permanent set and premature failure.
