The GIBRALTAR DCIM10-25 is a medium-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, punch presses, and precision tooling applications. It features a trapezoidal wire shape wound from chromium alloy steel, which provides higher load capacity and longer service life compared to standard round-wire springs. The spring has a 3/8-inch hole diameter, a 3/16-inch rod diameter, and a 1-inch free length. Maximum deflection load is 42 pounds, with a maximum deflection of 0.47 inches and a spring rate of 89 pounds per inch. The blue color coding indicates medium-duty classification per ISO 10243.
This die spring is suited for use in metal stamping, forming, and blanking dies where consistent, repeatable spring force is required. It is sized for tooling setups that accept a 3/16-inch guide rod and a 3/8-inch pocket bore. Industrial maintenance technicians, tool-and-die makers, and press operators commonly install this type of spring during die maintenance and rebuild cycles. It is sold individually and can be ordered in single units.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement die spring for stamping and forming tooling that requires a medium-duty spring with a 3/8-inch hole diameter and 3/16-inch rod diameter.
Die springs of this type are installed and serviced by tool-and-die makers and industrial maintenance technicians. Always de-energize and lock out the press before accessing the die set. Ensure the guide rod and pocket bore are clean and within tolerance before seating the spring. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 0.47 inches, as over-compression reduces fatigue life and can cause premature failure.
