The GIBRALTAR DCIL25-44 is a light-duty die spring designed for use in stamping dies, molds, and tooling fixtures where consistent, reliable spring force is required. Built from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, it delivers a spring rate of 307 lb per inch and a maximum deflection load of 288 pounds at 0.94 inches of travel. The green color coding follows the ISO 10243 international standard for light-duty die springs, making identification straightforward during tooling setup and maintenance. This spring is installed by tool and die makers, mold builders, and machine maintenance technicians.
This die spring suits applications in stamping presses, injection molds, progressive dies, and similar tooling where a 1-inch hole diameter and 1/2-inch rod diameter are specified. With a free length of 1.75 inches and a travel-to-solid load of approximately 0.9547 inches, it fits standard light-duty die spring pockets. It conforms to NAAMS and ISO 10243 dimensional standards, making it a direct fit in tooling designed to those specifications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for light-duty die spring applications conforming to NAAMS and ISO 10243 dimensional standards with a 1-inch hole diameter and 1/2-inch rod diameter.
Die springs are installed by qualified tool and die makers or maintenance technicians. Always de-energize and lock out the press or machine before servicing tooling components. Verify the spring pocket depth and rod clearance against the compressed length at maximum load of 0.94 inches to prevent coil bind. Do not exceed the rated maximum deflection during operation, as overcompression will reduce spring fatigue life.
