Wound from chromium alloy steel with a trapezoidal wire cross-section, this spring delivers a rated spring rate of 95 pounds per inch and a maximum deflection load of 106 pounds. The trapezoidal wire profile increases active coil surface area, improving load capacity and fatigue resistance compared to round-wire springs of equivalent size. Die spring replacement and installation should be performed by qualified tool-and-die or industrial maintenance personnel with the press or tooling fully de-energized, locked out, and secured against unexpected actuation per applicable LOTO procedures. Inspect the spring pocket and guide rod for wear, burrs, or misalignment before installing the new spring. Do not compress the spring beyond its rated maximum deflection of 1.12 inches, as exceeding this limit reduces service life and risks spring failure. Replacement springs should be installed with the same orientation and seating as the original component.
