The GIBRALTAR BHG3714-G is a steel die mold shoulder bushing designed to guide and align components within die sets, molds, and precision tooling assemblies. With an inside diameter of 0.8755 inches and an overall length of 3.375 inches, this bushing provides a friction-fit bearing surface for guide pins and similar tooling elements. The press-fit attachment method seats the bushing securely into a bored hole without additional fasteners. This part is non-self-lubricating, so periodic lubrication is required during service. Machinists, toolmakers, and die maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This shoulder bushing is suited for use in progressive dies, injection molds, and stamping tooling where precise pin alignment is critical. The stepped shoulder design locates the bushing at a fixed depth within the die plate, eliminating axial migration under cyclic load. The bottom outside diameter of 1.2505 inches is the press-fit body, while the top outside diameter and head diameter of 1.4375 inches seat flush against the mating plate surface. Installation is typically performed by a qualified toolmaker or die maintenance technician.
