The GIBRALTAR BEB-503 is a solid bronze, straight die mold bushing designed for guided ejector applications in injection mold and die tooling assemblies. With an inside diameter of 1.0005 inches and a body diameter of 1.3755 inches, this bushing provides precise alignment and guidance for ejector pins during the mold cycling process. The press-fit attachment method ensures a secure, non-rotating installation in the mold plate. Non-self-lubricating construction means the bushing relies on external lubrication or the mating component for proper operation. Toolmakers, mold builders, and die maintenance technicians are the primary installers of this component.
This bushing is suited for use in injection molds, stamping dies, and progressive die tooling where consistent ejector pin guidance is required. It is appropriate for both production tooling builds and maintenance replacement scenarios in job shops and in-house tool rooms. The solid bronze material provides good wear resistance and dimensional stability under the cyclic loading typical of high-volume molding and stamping operations. At 0.5 pounds, it is a compact, single-piece component packaged individually.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-build component for die mold assemblies requiring a straight guided ejector bushing with a 1.0005-inch inside diameter and press-fit body diameter of 1.3755 inches.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or die maintenance technicians using a hydraulic or mechanical arbor press to achieve proper press-fit seating in the mold plate. Power down and de-energize all associated press or molding equipment before servicing any tooling components. Ensure the mold plate bore is clean, dimensionally correct, and free of burrs before pressing the bushing into position. Do not hammer the bushing directly without a proper driver to avoid damage to the bore or bushing face.
