The GIBRALTAR BE-1053 is a die mold ejector blade designed for use in injection mold tooling applications. Ejector blades are precision-ground flat components used to push molded parts free from the mold cavity at the end of each injection cycle. This blade measures 0.0460 inches in thickness and 0.1720 inches in width, with a length of 10.5 inches, making it suited for narrow-slot ejection applications where round ejector pins cannot provide adequate part release. It is installed and maintained by tool and die makers, mold technicians, and injection molding maintenance personnel.
This ejector blade is used in plastic injection molds, compression molds, and die casting tooling where flat or rectangular ejection geometry is required. Narrow blade profiles like this are commonly specified for thin-walled parts, rib sections, and other features that require controlled ejection force over a flat surface rather than a point. The blade ships individually and is intended as a direct replacement or spare component for mold maintenance programs.

Ejector blade replacement is performed by qualified tool and die makers or mold maintenance technicians. The mold should be fully removed from the press and all hydraulic or mechanical ejection systems must be de-energized before disassembly. Verify blade slot dimensions in the ejector plate and retainer plate before installation to confirm proper fit and free movement. Do not force the blade into an undersized slot, as this can cause blade deflection or premature failure during the ejection cycle.
