The GIBRALTAR 9530SS-G is a headless rolling ball end clamping screw designed for precision fixturing, workholding, and mechanical positioning applications. Threaded 1/4-20 UNC with a 0.5-inch overall length, this screw uses a freely rotating 0.157-inch diameter ball at its tip to apply consistent clamping or locating pressure against a workpiece without marring the surface. The headless design allows the screw to sit flush or below the surface of a tapped hole. Both the screw body and the ball are machined from 18-8 stainless steel, providing corrosion resistance in wet or chemically active environments. Driven with a 1/8-inch hex key.
This clamping screw is suited for use in jigs, fixtures, machine tooling, and precision mechanical assemblies where a low-profile, surface-safe clamping point is required. The rolling ball tip allows parts to be clamped at slight angles without binding, making it well suited for production fixtures that must repeatedly locate components quickly and consistently. Common in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance shops working with stainless-compatible assemblies.

Installation requires a 1/8-inch hex key. Ensure the mating tapped hole is clean and free of debris before threading the screw in. Do not overtighten — the rolling ball mechanism is designed for moderate clamping loads and excessive torque may damage the ball seat. Thread engagement should be confirmed before applying clamping pressure to a workpiece.
