The GIBRALTAR 67016G is a threaded spring plunger designed for use in positioning, indexing, and light-duty locking applications across industrial and mechanical assemblies. The plunger features an M20 x 2.5 thread with a 44 mm thread length and a maximum plunger diameter of 9.5 mm. It delivers an initial end force of 4 pounds and a final end force of 14.53 pounds, giving technicians a predictable spring load range for controlled engagement. The steel body and steel nose provide durability in shop and production environments. A black finish is applied to the body. This plunger installs without a locking element, making it suitable for applications where adjustment or repositioning is expected during service.
The 67016G is used in machine tool fixtures, jig assemblies, and fabrication equipment where repeatable part positioning is required. The 8 mm plunger projection keeps the nose engaged within a shallow bore or detent, making it a practical choice for panel assemblies, drawer slides, and workholding fixtures. The M20 x 2.5 thread is a standard metric coarse pitch, compatible with tapped holes in steel, aluminum, and cast components. The 10 mm hex drive allows installation with standard metric tooling. This plunger is sold individually and is appropriate for both OEM assembly and maintenance replacement use.
Designed as a direct-install threaded spring plunger for any tapped M20 x 2.5 bore in metal or structural components requiring indexing or positioning force in the 4 to 14.53 pound spring load range.
Install using a 10 mm hex wrench or socket into a clean, fully tapped M20 x 2.5 through-hole or blind hole. De-energize or lock out any machine before servicing or replacing spring plungers in active assemblies. Verify the detent bore depth is compatible with the 8 mm plunger projection before threading the plunger to full depth. Do not exceed the thread length with overtorquing, as this part has no specified torque value in the input data.
