The GIBRALTAR 41426G is a blind tapped T-slot nut used to secure workpieces and fixtures to T-slotted machine tables, jigs, and structural framing. The blind tap design closes off one end of the threaded bore, preventing chips and coolant from contaminating the thread. Machined from 1018 steel with a black oxide finish for corrosion resistance, this nut accepts a 1-8 right-hand threaded fastener and fits a 1.0625-inch slot width. It measures 2 inches in overall length and 1.125 inches in overall height, with a base footprint of 1.625 inches wide by 0.6875 inches tall. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this hardware in production and maintenance environments.
This T-slot nut is suited for use with standard machine tool tables, milling fixtures, welding positioners, and modular fixturing systems that use T-slotted extrusions or cast iron tables with a 27 mm slot. The 1-8 thread size is a common coarse-thread specification used in heavy-duty clamping applications. The black oxide finish reduces light reflection and provides mild surface protection without adding meaningful dimensional buildup. Sold individually, this nut is appropriate for single-position setups or for restocking existing fixture hardware.
Designed for use with T-slotted machine tables, milling fixtures, and modular workholding systems that accept a 27 mm (1.0625-inch) T-slot and 1-8 threaded clamping hardware.
Installation is performed by machinists or toolmakers as part of workholding or fixturing setup. Slide the nut into the T-slot from an open end, then rotate 90 degrees to engage the slot walls before threading in the clamping stud. Ensure the table or extrusion slot is clean and free of debris before insertion to avoid thread damage. Do not exceed the load ratings of the machine table or fixturing system when applying clamping torque.
