The GIBRALTAR 26370 2 is a fixed lifting eye bolt with a shoulder, designed for overhead lifting and rigging applications in industrial, construction, and mechanical trade environments. Built from C-1035 steel with a hot dipped galvanized finish, this eye bolt delivers a rated lifting capacity of 500 pounds on a 1/4-20 fully threaded shank. The shoulder design seats flush against the mating surface to ensure proper load transfer and alignment. Riggers, ironworkers, millwrights, and general contractors install this type of hardware when a secure, fixed attachment point is required for vertical or near-vertical lifts.
This eye bolt is suited for use in light-duty rigging setups where a threaded anchor point is needed in steel structures, wooden beams, concrete inserts, or fabricated assemblies. The 3-inch shank length and 3-inch thread length provide deep engagement in thick substrates. The hot dipped galvanized finish offers corrosion resistance for outdoor, wet, or moderately corrosive environments. This is a single-piece, fixed-eye configuration and is not intended for angular loading without rated reduction factors applied per applicable lifting standards.
Designed as a fixed shoulder lifting eye bolt for use in standard 1/4-20 threaded applications in light-duty rigging, material handling, and structural attachment scenarios.
Installation should be performed by qualified riggers or trade professionals familiar with applicable ASME B30 and OSHA rigging standards. Ensure the mating thread is clean and the shoulder seats fully and squarely against the load-bearing surface before applying any load. Fixed eye bolts of this type are rated for vertical (in-line) lifting only — angular loading reduces rated capacity and must be de-rated per applicable standards. De-energize or de-load all connected systems before removing or replacing any rigging hardware.
