The GIBRALTAR 26205 7 is a fixed lifting eye bolt with a shoulder, designed for overhead lifting and rigging applications in industrial, mechanical, and construction environments. Manufactured from C-1035 grade steel with a zinc-plated finish for corrosion resistance, this eye bolt carries a rated lifting capacity of 500 pounds. The 1/4-20 threaded shank is fully threaded along its 2-inch length, providing secure fastening through a wide range of fixture thicknesses. The shoulder design seats flush against the mounting surface, distributing load and reducing the risk of fastener pull-through under tension. Millwrights, riggers, and maintenance technicians are the typical installers for this type of hardware.
This eye bolt is suited for light-duty overhead lifting, anchoring, and tie-down tasks across general manufacturing, HVAC equipment handling, and facility maintenance settings. The 3/4-inch inside diameter eye accommodates standard hooks, shackles, and rigging hardware. The fully threaded 2-inch shank allows installation into tapped holes or through-bolted assemblies with a nut. The zinc-plated finish makes it appropriate for indoor and sheltered outdoor use where mild corrosion resistance is required.
Designed as a standard fixed shoulder eye bolt for use in any tapped or through-hole assembly accepting a 1/4-20 thread. Confirm that the mating material and thread engagement depth are rated to support the stated lifting load before use.
Installation is performed by qualified riggers or maintenance technicians following applicable ASME B30.26 or OSHA rigging safety standards. Thread the bolt fully into a properly tapped hole, ensuring the shoulder seats flat against the mounting surface before applying any load. Never side-load a fixed eye bolt beyond the rated angle listed in applicable rigging guidelines, and never use a bent or deformed eye bolt. Inspect the fastener and rigging hardware for wear or damage before each lift.
