The GIBRALTAR 11734 0 is a fixed lifting eye bolt rated for 4,000 lb capacity, manufactured from C-1035 grade forged steel. Designed without a shoulder, it is intended for straight, vertical lifting loads only. The bolt features a fully threaded shank measuring 4 inches in length with a 5/8-11 thread size, making it compatible with standard tapped holes and lifting hardware of the same thread specification. Riggers, millwrights, and maintenance mechanics use this style of eye bolt when attaching hoists, chain falls, or wire rope assemblies to machinery, structural steel, and fabricated assemblies.
This eye bolt is suited for industrial and commercial rigging applications where a permanent or semi-permanent vertical lift point is required. The without-shoulder design means the bolt must be loaded along its shank axis. It is not rated for angular or side loading. Typical installations include machinery positioning, equipment lifts, and overhead attachment points in manufacturing and maintenance environments. The forged steel construction provides the structural integrity needed for repeated use under rated load conditions.
Designed as a standard fixed eye bolt replacement or new installation fitting for industrial rigging applications requiring a 5/8-11 threaded, shoulderless eye bolt with a 4-inch shank length.
Installation should be performed by a qualified rigger or maintenance mechanic familiar with ASME B30.26 rigging hardware standards. Ensure the receiving tapped hole provides full thread engagement equal to at least the full shank length and that the mating material has adequate strength to support the rated load. Because this is a shoulderless eye bolt, it must only be loaded vertically along its shank axis — angular loading without a shoulder will significantly reduce safe working load and can cause failure. Inspect threads and the eye for deformation or cracks before each use.
