The GIBRALTAR 11657 2 is a fixed lifting eye bolt designed for vertical load applications in rigging, material handling, and industrial lifting operations. Built from C-1035 grade forged steel, this eye bolt delivers a working load capacity of 1,400 pounds and features a fully threaded 4.5-inch shank with a 3/8-16 thread size. The shoulderless design means it is rated for in-line, vertical pulls only. Installation is straightforward and is typically performed by millwrights, riggers, maintenance technicians, or other qualified trade personnel working in industrial or commercial environments.
This eye bolt is suited for use in fixed anchor point applications where a threaded bolt with a lifting eye is required. The fully threaded 4.5-inch shank accommodates a range of material thicknesses and mounting configurations. With a 1-inch eye inside diameter and a 1-21/32-inch eye outside diameter, the bolt accepts standard shackles, hooks, and lifting hardware commonly used in shop and field rigging setups. The shoulderless configuration limits its use strictly to straight vertical pulls and is not appropriate for angular loading.
Designed as a direct-fit fixed lifting eye bolt for applications requiring a 3/8-16 threaded anchor point with a 1,400 lb straight vertical load rating. Verify that the receiving thread and base material are rated for the intended load before installation.
Installation of lifting eye bolts must be performed by qualified personnel familiar with applicable rigging standards and load ratings. Thread the bolt fully into a properly tapped hole or through a prepared opening with appropriate hardware; never use this shoulderless eye bolt for angled or side loading. Confirm thread engagement depth meets minimum requirements for the rated capacity before applying any load. Inspect the eye and threads for damage before each use and remove from service if deformation, cracking, or corrosion is present.
