The GEORG FISCHER 9861112 is a Schedule 80 CPVC threaded nipple constructed from Corzan CPVC compound, sized at 3/4 inch diameter by 8 inches in length with male pipe threads on both ends. Corzan CPVC is engineered for demanding industrial and commercial piping applications, offering higher pressure ratings and temperature resistance compared to standard CPVC. This nipple serves as a rigid, chemically resistant connector between threaded fittings, valves, or equipment ports where a short, fixed-length pipe section is required. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in hot and cold water distribution, chemical process lines, and industrial plumbing systems.
This nipple is suited for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial piping systems where Schedule 80 wall thickness is specified for added pressure capacity or mechanical durability. Common applications include water treatment equipment connections, chemical feed lines, industrial process fluid systems, and plumbing manifold assemblies. The MPT x MPT configuration threads directly into female-threaded fittings, valves, or pump ports without additional adapters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation component for Schedule 80 CPVC threaded piping systems using standard NPT thread profiles.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards for CPVC piping systems. Depressurize and drain the line completely before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Use CPVC-compatible thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for CPVC applications — do not use petroleum-based pipe dopes that can degrade CPVC. Avoid over-tightening, as excessive torque can crack Schedule 80 CPVC fittings and nipples.
