The GEORG FISCHER 9856-025 is a CPVC Schedule 80 Van Stone flange fitting in a 2.5-inch nominal spigot configuration. Van Stone flanges use a loose backing ring design, allowing the flange face to rotate freely for bolt-hole alignment without disturbing the piping system. This fitting handles pressures up to 420 psi and temperatures up to 200 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding chemical, industrial, and mechanical piping applications. Plumbers and pipefitters working with corrosive fluid systems select CPVC Schedule 80 fittings for their chemical resistance and pressure-rated performance.
This fitting is used in Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems where a flanged connection is required at a valve, pump, equipment nozzle, or system boundary. It is suited for both commercial and industrial installations handling aggressive or high-temperature fluids. The spigot end solvent-cements directly into Schedule 80 CPVC pipe or fittings, while the flange face provides a flat, gasketed bolted connection point. The gray color is standard for Schedule 80 CPVC product identification.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for Schedule 80 CPVC piping systems with a 2.5-inch nominal pipe size, using standard spigot solvent-cement connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC or ASTM solvent-cement procedures for CPVC. Depressurize and drain the system completely before cutting into an existing line. Use only CPVC-rated solvent cement and primer rated for Schedule 80 service. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer before returning the system to pressure.
