The GEORG FISCHER 9847-025 is a 2-1/2 inch Schedule 80 CPVC socket cap designed to terminate pipe runs in industrial and commercial piping systems. CPVC construction makes this fitting suitable for hot and cold water distribution, chemical process lines, and other applications involving hot or corrosive liquids — service conditions that exceed the temperature limits of standard PVC. The fitting carries a working temperature range of 33 degrees F to 200 degrees F and meets ASTM F439 requirements for Schedule 80 socket fittings. Licensed plumbers and industrial pipefitters are the primary installers.

This cap is well suited for hot and cold water distribution systems, chemical process piping, and industrial fluid handling lines where corrosive media or elevated temperatures rule out standard PVC.
