The GEORG FISCHER 801-211 is a Schedule 80 PVC reducing tee designed for pressure piping systems in commercial and industrial plumbing applications. This fitting transitions a 1-1/2 inch main run down to a 1 inch branch outlet using a socket-by-socket-by-socket (SxSxS) end configuration, allowing solvent-cement connections on all three ports. The heavier Schedule 80 wall thickness provides greater pressure ratings and impact resistance compared to Schedule 40 fittings, making it appropriate for demanding service conditions. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically specify Schedule 80 PVC fittings where elevated working pressures or mechanical protection are required.
This reducing tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, irrigation, chemical distribution, and process piping systems where PVC is an approved material. The SxSxS socket configuration accepts standard Schedule 80 PVC pipe on all three connections. It is installed using approved PVC primer and solvent cement per the fitting manufacturer and applicable plumbing code requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 PVC pressure piping systems using 1-1/2 inch main pipe and 1 inch branch pipe with socket-end connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and local authority requirements. De-pressurize and drain the system fully before cutting into any existing line. All three socket ports require proper PVC primer and solvent cement application for a code-compliant, leak-free joint. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer before restoring system pressure.
